Title: Allomenter writes what it's really like in a mental health unit

Spotted this post on The Allotment Junkies blog, The grate escape:

Harrowing and moving read. I only read it because the blog entry above, allotmenteering is my insurance policy, also struck a chord, particularly the bit about:

"It’s not about mulching, or compost heaps, or longhandled hoes. It is a declaration of independence: here I stand, on my own plot of land. I grow what I want, when I want, and there’s nothing you can do about it."

This blogger is now on my favourites.

PG, I didn't want this to go unanswered by me, and thank you for posting it. I've put the blogger on my faves too. I hope that he/she? goes on from strength to strength.

Thanks, Lishka

After working in the mental health system for 15 years, there's nothing new there! It's all common enough, unfortunately. Among many other problems, it's a haven for bad managers.

I think the whole NHS is a haven for 'Bad Managers' Robert.
