to continue the theme of "Off To..." threads!
Off to Cornwall on Wednesday to dig holes. These be archaeological rather than vegetable holes though. I s'pose a change is as good as a rest ;D
So, the question is, what will become of the plot while I'm gone. I'm leaving Mrs Si in charge, with instructions on watering. Mrs Si has many more talents than I but she doesn't do gardening, infact she doesn't do outdoors if she can help it. Hmmm, first time I've gone away half hoping that it's going to rain :o
well, if she's anything like my sister (who i left with instructions to visit every two or three days to pick the beans)...i wouldnt hold your breath. on my return from cornwall at the weekend there was a note from sis saying "havent been to plot this week as there didnt seen to be much coming on". :o. today i have spent most of the morning making chutney out of the 6lbs of too big french and runner beans that i picked yesterday. i'll give her "nothing coming on" when i see her. ::)
where are you digging in cornwall? and what? hope the weather is better for you than it was for us. ;D
The weather in Cornwall is beautiful at the moment. My daughter & family are at Porthleven & have been told it is the best 2 weeks of the summer.
Janet.
I'm a little further east in Torbay, Devon. We've had hot sunny days for a week now. Too hot to work in the garden during the day :). Not grumbling though - we've been able to make good use of the BBQ I acquired on Freecycle earlier in the year 8).
The tourists are here in droves.

What are you digging?
