Title: Carrots Dieing
Post by: kt. on August 21, 2007, 23:46:17
Last month I sowed Autumn King carrots in 5 plastic containers that I used to sow early nantes. All were doing well - grew to 1" or so high. Carrots in one of the containers appears to have almost died a death, wilted flat along the level of the ground compost & stopped growing. All the others are doing fine. All container mixes of soil & compost are the same.

Any ideas??...

Hi KT - I'm not Titchmarsh but could it be those nasty little white grubs of the vine weevil at it?

Don't think so as they are smaller than a blade of grass. There is no carrot on them as yet.
