Title: my first aubergine - woohoo!
Post by: calamityjayneuk on August 18, 2007, 22:54:45
I am growing Calliope and have just spotted my first ever aubergine. It's a bit bigger than an egg and looks yummy, but how do I tell when it's ready for harvest?

Just done a search for that variety and it matures at 5cm. Pick when shiny when it looses its shine they will be tough and dry, hope this helps! and well done you!!! its soooooo exciting spotting the first one of the season....
