Last Thursday (day after my Birthday) I received the call I have waited TEN YEARS for.
"Lauren, do you still want an allotment?"
I was speechless. I just cried out *YESSSSSSSSSS* ;D
Well, today, I signed the agreement, paid up and got the key.
It was misty, windy, heavy rain at times but I couldn't careless. I wanted to dig, dig dig. Hubby came with me and helped me set out the borders on one section. Unfortunately the old chap who had the plot before me let it go badly. The soil is beautiful underneath all the grass.
The quirkiest feature of the plot is...It has a weird and wonderful *IN THE GROUND* shed the old chap built. Cannot have any structure higher than 4ft as it is right up against the houses boundary.
My son came over and took some *Before Pics* that I will post as soon as he sends them to me.
I only have to pay £10 for this year, and next year I get it rent free as it's so bad...Nice bonus.
I just wanted to share my exciting news with you all.
Nice Birthday Prezzie for me ;D
Congrats Elle Ess - what a wait though! Would love to see a picky of the shed as we have the same 4' restriction on our plots.
Such great news!! wow 10 years!! I bet chuffed to bits is an understatement!!
Thank you. I still cannot believe it after all these years of waiting. Now I know exactly how everyone else felt when they got their lotties.

huge congrats on finally getting a plot of your own ;D
Congrats Elle Ess - looks like a huge improvement already. The shed is - interesting! :) Afraid you wouldn't get me in there til it had been thoroughly despidered!
That shed rocks. And if ever there's WW3 you'll have a handy bunker! Oh, how I'd love a shed like that. It's every boy's dream and some of us never grew up!
Some of us gals too Ollie!
