Title: Drying chillis
Post by: silverbirch on August 18, 2007, 18:06:35
I've FINALLY got some chillies turning red ;D

How do I dry them?  I was thinking of just threading them on to some thin string and hanging them in the greenhouse.

That's what I do  :)

I leave a bit of stalk on then thread through the stalky bit. I hung them in the kitchen last year, sooooo pretty.  :D

Yes that will work. I put some on a tray and put them in the oven as it cools down after a roast-it takes a couple of goes

Krakatoa is a great drying variety.. it has been out on a tray in our kitchen all year and hasn't even wrinkled!
