Made this with some of my Victoria plums today. Delicious  :)! (I left the walnuts out)

Thanks for the link. I really like Nigel Slater's recipes so I'll give this one a go. Why did you leave out the walnuts?

This reminds me of a wonderfully soggy plum cake I made last year - no nuts in it, and it included golden syrup.  I must try and dig out the recipe as my plum trees are laden.  I think it may have been in the Food Aid book that Delia edited.

Because I had no walnuts in the house! I added some flaked almonds instead.

Sounds yummy, and I happen to have some plums in the freezer.

Could be a baking evening since the weather is so awful here in

on the north-east coast.
