A sad day thirty years ago that the King died . He gave so much pleasure to so many .
I remember it well. I felt as though I had lost a very close friend or family member. I absolutely adored Elvis and felt he was part of my life.
Remember hearing the announcement on the radio... to young to know what I was doing when JFK was shot!
;D
We were on our honeymoon!

Elvis's last single "Way Down" had just fallen out of the charts, and then he went and died, and for the rest of the summer you just couldn't go anywhere without hearing it. Either that or Exodus by Bob Marley and the Wailers

did any of you watch elvis in colour on itv1 last night? if so,the cadillac and driver they featured, was the very car and driver that drove us to our wedding at graceland,we were chuffed!! not a bad programme either.long live the king!! rach x
Yes, I watched it - and everything else that was on too! It was a better programme than I'd expected to be honest. Did you go to the Fingerprints yesterday E2003? Would have liked to have gone there myself - or better still - been in Memphis! Must have been incredible with all those fans...
hi vegi,we went down to the albert dock to re visit fingerprints, but it seems to have moved on,so glad we went a few years ago,it was well worth the visit! x
