Hey there,
as you are aware blight has devesated our tomatoes and has killed the majority of the plants, however cutting the dead material out and allowing new growth to form has rescued the day. As we picked the first sucessful fruits.

As you can see there is a lot of blight still there but its not spreading and eadible fruits are beginning to be plentiful.
Other news this week is, the magnitude of pumpkins, onion harvests, a major weed, and continued harvests.
Regards

Doing great...
I eat a lot of cabbage like that as well!
;D
Well that fills me with hope! Went to check on things on Friday (not been able to get to plot much last week) to find the dastardly blight on my toms too. Tried to do a damage limitation exercise although I yanked out the worst affected. Maybe it wont be as bad as I expect. :-\

has it only just struck, thats quite late
I'm thinking maybe I missed the early signs as I have been rushing up to pick stuff and not spendind too much time on my plot (plus the fact that I didn't know too much about it). Still. I'll know so much better next year and I plan to do things very differently. ;D
