Title: Wasp netting
Post by: real food on August 14, 2007, 19:56:56
As wasps are attacking my plums, even though I have 6 wasp traps out, I wondered if it would be possible to protect a small plum tree with Mosquito netting.
Has anyone tried it and does it work?

No, sorry..we tend to bring them in when they are just showing colour, we read they carry on ripening indoors..it worked, they've gone ripe and we've been finishing them off on the windowsill
they don't last long..we like plums  ;D

If wasps are going for them, it's often a sign that they need picking. Once they're ripe, you won't keep the wasps off the tree.

Our wasps are going for the plums, even though they are hard and green!
