I've just come across this eBay auction, I have never heard of these before, anyone seen them or are they just a type of shallot?

Firstly it is mislabelled it is actually Ornithogalum caudatum more commonly known as False Sea Onion or Pregnant Onion. It is a non-edible succulent which resembles an onion & is very expensive considering chiltern seeds offer a pack of 8  bulbils for £2.19 less than their starting price for 2.
