Yes but against one of the worst teams in the competition BB and against 10 men :-\  Not much satisfaction in that - I think they are going to have to pull their socks up if they are to go any further.

Flower, my house is the opposite - quite, calm prevails. But, when the cricket was on the other day there were all sorts of noisy noises coming from the living room! But hey, England won so I'm not complaining. Hope England can make us proud with the football as well, even although I don't watch it!  ;D

Well I'm a keen supporter of our boys......now I know it wasn't the most exciting of games but right now...it's the result that mattered....also, it can't have been much fun running around in 42C/108F for 90 minutes for two countries totally unused to that sort of heat!....so as far as I'm concerned...well done chaps!

Me, couldn't care less.  5 year old daughter, glued to the telly cheering on 'Engerland' when they scored.  ;D

Three things more boring on the telly than golf?

Golf, "in the flesh".
Cricket.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAnnnnnnddddd - Football!

Ach - now that I've upset everyone, I'll just crawl back into my Rip-van-Winkly hole and vegetate  :)

Still hoping that Senegal win!  All best, Gavin!

Hurrah - thank goodness for that!  There was me thinking that I'm an eccentric old sourpuss - the only person on the planet not remotely interested if the England team win or float away in pea green boat never to be seen again.

No shouting at the telly in our front room, but the punters watching it in the pub over the road make up for that!

For my money, Wimbledon is worth a watch, even if it isn't the same without the marvellous Dan Maskell and his erudite "Oh, I say!"

Oh yes AC - dear old Dan, and do you remember he used to tell you exactly how many inches the ball was out :-\ :)

What chance for Tim this year do you think...I say 'don't hold your breath' ;) :D

Hi Gardengirl - I agree - but we do put some pressure on the poor guy, don't we  ;)
Be watching Jonathan Marray with interest!

On a rather more general pont, has anyone else noticed that as soon as the soccer season ends, the amount of games being televised increases exponentially?
