Title: Re request on Freecycle for sheets for rescued seals
Post by: Jeannine on August 06, 2007, 10:41:30
There is a lady on Hull Freecycle who is asking for help .

She is a member of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue, they rescue seals ,dolphins and whales.

They need old towels and sheets to help with their work. Thwy wrap the animals in them for transportation.I have offered what I have ,sadly they have had little response.

I know we are all over the country but thought it was worth a post here for folks reasonably close to this area.

Or any ideas anyone how we could help, or places to send her .

She sounds really nice .

long shot but i wonder if it would be worth her contacting her local hospital laundry cos i wonder what happens to all the torn sheets and towels from them they are laundered at a very hight temp so wouldnt be an infection risk, ?worth a try
