...between hard neck garlic and soft neck garlic?

The former has a stem that goes right to the bottom, with cloves around it. T'other ends up in all cloves. Is it right that hardneck doesn't keep as well?

PS But some of miy 'softneck' this year went to seed (scape) & has a very solid stem.

Thanks Tim. Think I'll go with the soft neck - I've not seen hard neck garlic before.
