Clever Girl - nothing like what we remembered.
It's lovely- is it easy to grow? Seem to remember sowing some seeds without any success.
I'll consult No1 who sowed it.
She says she found it a bit temperamental early on, but now it self-seeds.
Worth another try, then!

As the song goes - 'here there and everywhere'!!
A bit like verbena bonariensis - once you've got it - you've got it for life!!
But they are pretty, and wouldn't be without them.
Anybody interested in seed of Dierama pulcherrimum aka angels fishing rods? In my book they are similar to the above mentioned plants. Taken me ages, and a lot of tlc to get my Dierama to flowering. Then what happens, they self seed all over the place.
Another plant that did this was Campanula lactiflora. Could I get it to grow from seed, could I buffalo. I bought a plant from a garden centre, let it go to seed and I have loads of the plants all over the garden.
But that's gardening, and I'm not complaining - just pointing out the nature of the beasties.

how pretty - just love it!
I have that, its been in a corner for years now. Its gets slowly strangled by mombretia but survives every year to come again. Last year it survived the roots of a giant sunflower.
Forgot this one - eight feet!
