I've had to harvest all my pots early due to blight, like many others on here, and I'm now tempted by the late cropping varieties to be planted in the next few weeks. I was just wondering if they will automatically get blight too, or whether if it actually dries up a bit will I be all right?
Blight tends to need the right combination of temperature and humidity, so if we have a dry-ish late summer, you may get away with it.
The problem is whether everybody on your site has cleaned up properly. Any bit of diseased foliage or infected tubers left lying around will continue to harbour the disease for months (or until next year in the case of tubers), and a couple of warm moist days could start the whole cycle off all over again.
