Title: July Harvest
Post by: SMP1704 on July 29, 2007, 12:31:41
Feeling pleased with all the carrots and there are still more to grow in the bed.  Stunned at the size of the courgettes (baby marrows) but then that's what happens when you leave them to do their own thing for two weeks.

First of the Maris Piper spuds - will be roasties in about 2 hours ;D

What a nice harvest. Had similar 'problem' with my courgette, hadn't got to the plot for a week and when I did I found marrows not courgettes!  ::)

Thanks for the kind comments- been working t'up North this week, got back in a record breaking 4 hours and now I can't sleep!

The spuds were gooooooooooood - just the right combination of fluffy exterior(for the crispy bits) and firm interior

I roasted one of the marrow courgettes (all for me as I'm the only one in the family that eats them)  I'm using a Homebase paper sack to store the carrots - still have half a bag.  Carrot and Coriander soup is on the menu this weekend........
