Title: What would grow through a ceanothus?
Post by: caroline7758 on July 28, 2007, 15:27:14
My garden is not very big, so I want to make the most of it. I have a ceanothus which is lovely during its short flowering period but boring the rest of the year. Can anyone suggest a climber which would grow through it without damaging it, and flower after it has flowered itself?

Hi Caroline, I would grow a clematis, something like Polish Spirit which flowers for a long time and grows quickly. Cut it back in Spring and it will grow like billyho again in the summer.

Thanks, Saddad, but I've got more than enough already! Come to think of it, I could move some of them!
