I'd like to grow a honeysuckle in a pot, preferably a white one. I'm going to do some research but I just wondered if anyone had any recommendations about reliable varieties. Thanks.

Not completely white but I like Halls Prolific. Honeysuckle in a pot will require copious watering if it is to do well.
That looks just the job. Thanks Eristic. ;D

Can endorse E's recommendation, Georgie. I put 3 Hall's Prolific in some years ago - and have been trying to dig them up for a couple of years ::)
But this only because I took down the long run of trellis they were growing against. I can't really remember the perfume being very strong, tho, but it is a sturdy plant and I, too, wanted a white flower.
Ah yes, Lishka, I gather they are not called 'prolific' for nothing! I saw a beautiful specimen today at Capel Manor Gardening Show but the friend I was with said she'd got that and it roots everywhere so she's promised me some. So that's saved me a fiver. ;D

If you're sure your friend can supply, OK..if not, give me a shout & I'll have a go at digging up a root for you. :)
Aww, how kind, thanks very much. No pressure on a certain poster here then. ;)

Off out right now with a trowel and a torch!
