Please could someone tell me how many litres or ml's are in a gallon? I come from metric land and always battle to convert into old money.. :-[ ;D ;D
I need to mix the petrol and oil for my new rotovator - hope this is the right section for this query ??? ???
Cooking - Conversions just seemed to be right....

Litre is 1.8 pints. 8 pints to a Imperial gallon. US gallons are different again. (awkward rascals!)

Google is very very clever. If you type

litres to gallons

into google it answers you. As also

1 uk gallon in litres.

4.5 litres = 1 gallon
