Title: Kohl rabi

I've got my first kohl rabi never grown or eaten before can you tell me how best to eat it. :)

you can treat it like swede or turnip, mashed with plenty of butter, s & p, we've recently had some finely sliced and stirred into a stir fry, yum! highly recommended.

Grated in salads is good too!

I second the grated.  Delicious, juicy and sweet. I use it in a coleslaw type mix.  mmmmm.  Also like it mashed as a topping on shepherds pie, or sliced, blanched and put attractively over a meat dish then baked until the ones underneath are tender and the ones on top are crispy.  Mine were only sown a month or so ago, so mine will have to be an autumn crop for me.
