Title: OOPS rogue squash
Post by: dandelion on July 23, 2007, 15:29:25
One of my Red  Kuri squash plants has produced a fruit that is rather big (25 cm diameter so far) , rather yellow and rather un-Kuri-like in shape. Looks like I may be growing a Dill's Atlantic Giant or similar up my squash wigwam  ::). Well, at least it's not too high up, so I managed to support it using an upturned bucket.

I did a similar silly.  Planted what I thought was a butternut squash, and when I looked properly at the label, it was a recycled one from last year and I am actually growing a californian warty pumpkin (from saved seed) up a trellis. It is already aproaching football size so I am working out quite what I can do to support it!
