A fellow allotmenteer has a cucumber in the greenhouse and the stem is flat up to 25mm across. It is a yellow ball type. Just wondered if this was unusual or the norm.

Sounds like the stems on my lemon cuke ( small yellow and roundish cukes) so quite normal.
