Title: Our Feathered Fiends
Post by: Kepouros on July 22, 2007, 23:14:42
No, it`s not a misspelling, which is why it`s on this board.  Every day, week in week out, year in year out I feed the little b*stards with expensive seed, cake and biscuit crumbs, bits of cheese rind, fat balls, and any other delicacies that spring to mind, in the hope and expectation that they will rid my garden of insect pests.  And instead they have robbed me of my winter`s supply of goosberry pies by stripping, virtually overnight, my heavily laden bushes of fat, succulent, but not quite ripe fruit.

Has anyone got a tame Kestrel for sale?

Nope, but have a mate with a gun! ;) ;D
Can I borrow that Kestrel to remove the little s*ds that pinched all my redcurrants? :(  Maddening isn't it.

We have decided to net everything that either the birds or the foxes like to destroy therefore our plot looks like alcatraz. It doesn't look great but we do get our produce. The pound shop were selling fleece bags to protect your fruit bushes. i know it''s probably too late for this year but try next year. Its worth a quid.

I have to net everything - there are very well fed pigeons on our lottie and I have no intention of adding to their already varied diet!
