We have been told that we will run out of water by this evening!!!
THe pumping station is flooded, so has been shut, and no more water entering the system!
People are panicking, their are queues in the supermarkets 2hrs long! They are running out of water.
Water water everywhere, not a drop to drink!
What a strange country we live in. I also bet by the end of August there will be hosepipe bans in place too.
what about going outside the area?

Thanks.
We still have water, but it is due to go off any time, they did say between 3 and 4!
Its incredible out there, still loads of roads shut due to flooding.
There has been chaos in the shops people buying water in. They even had to shut some shops early due to chaos!
they reckon we will be without water until at least Weds!!!!
eak!
If it's for washing what's wrong with rainwater, if it is for drinking PAH! I would rather have beer.
Now there's an excuse as if I needed one...
;D
our water has now gone :(
And we have just hard that the electric might be gone by morning!!
My children are off on scout camp to Austria tomorrow, I hope the weather is better for them there!!
well at least you dont have to worry about them.
Have you got anyone you can stay with?
Is the water company going to deliver bottled water?
Bottled water is available from 2 supermarkets and they also have water bowsers. One supermarket is around 2 miles away the other around 7.
I've filled the bath, kettle and 2 pans.
We also have a water butt and a few buckets full of rain water.
Yeah, good that 2 children will be away from it, little one will still be at home (6).
Mum is in hospital so she is being cared for, just Dad to keep checks on now (disabled 80yrs old) and is not worried at all, as long as he can get a cup of tea!!!
I like his style!!
As long as i have tea i am a happy woman!
Glad to see you have things in hand :)
Sorry for the earlier reply, just seen the news. Not a joking matter.
look like 48,000 houses have also lost power i hope you guys are ok.
Nobody says don't flush unless you have to - or what about rain butts - or..............?

Well, maybe the wrong sort of water!
We have power, but still no water!
We are told this could go on for 14 days!!!
Also other parts of Glos are now running out!!
So far we have been ok, but it will get worse when the waterbutt runs out!
Another thing thats going on is the madness in the shops, unbeliveable, panic buying, fights, etc.
The power is back on, but the water level is 2 inches below the top of the flood defences around the substation which supplies 500,000 people! I hear the Tewks water is going down, but it is still rising at Gloucester!
Some nice sunshine today, I feel less stressed
Sue
Thinking of all of you up there Sue. Must be quite frightening really. Thank goodness your kids and Mum are being taken care of. Hopefully 6 year old will view the whole thing as adventure. How's your plot?
stupid question but i quess people are not at work??
Yes, we are at work, no one is going to pay us for staying at home are they? What do you think we are Civil Servants? ;)

I will be coming back from Cardiff to Cirencester on Friday. Do you want me to detour to yours and bring anything? I could manage bottled water, stove, snap etc? get back to me before COP on Thursday and I will see what I can do.
In watery solidarity
