What are you growing that is `new` to you this year?
I`ve just picked the first `Italian Heirloom` and it`s very good. Large fruit with a clean, fresh taste-not as complex as some of the `blacks` just easy on the mouth.
The first Blaby will get picked tomorrow and I know some folks here are trying it.
Peacevine cherry and Black cherry new this year ,but still a week away.
I have some Blaby in the Greenhouse but touch and go if they go down to the blight first..

My Blaby I got at our plant sale is fruiting outside in my big herb and toms metal bath! Hope it gets to ripen....... :-\
This year I have Black Krim, Riesenstraube, Roman Candle, Golden Plum, Striped Sausage [the name escapes me.] Gardener's Delight and miniature yellow pear shaped. I don't have a name for these. I got a packet of "ornamental tomatoes" from T&M years ago. All sorts of shapes and colours described as cocktail tomatoes [small]. I used to sell loads of them in mixed punnets at W.I. sales, Church Fetes etc. They self seeded for years, until only the yellow pears were left. Of course T&M no longer sell them.
I also have an un-named orange medium sized tomato. It is very sweet for it's size.It turned up one year with some Gardener's Delight seeds I grew. Another prolific self seeder, but having learned my lesson with the cocktail tomatoes, I now save seed of these two varieties.
