Title: Tomatoes and hypericum
Post by: davholla on July 21, 2007, 13:42:46
I am a novice gardener.  I planted 2 tomato plants beside a hypericum plant (one either side) and they are now swamping it.  Well the tomato plants die back in the winter ? Or should I move the hypericum plant and if so when ?

The tomato plants will die as soon as they get some cold, or you can pull them out as soon as they have finished fruiting. How many trusses of flowers/fruit have they got now? You can pinch out the tops to stop them grwoing any bigger.

Thanks for that, in that case I think I will leave them and hope the hypericum survives.
