My Sea Holly has had lots of foliage but no blooms for the past 2 years. Any ideas on how to make it flower?
Thanks

It needs to be in full sun, and treated mean to flower - no feeding or rich soil.
Yep, def what Jen said. It is coastal so you have to treat it mean to keep it keen. It also likes really well draining soil so mine have a fair amount of sand/grit in the pot - big pot too.
I love them, hope you get yours to flower - they are stunning.
It grows on the back of beaches, so it's used to soil that's probably 90% sand, lots of drought, and plenty of salt in the soil.
Hi
Thanks for suggestions. I think I will resite it and add some sand and grit.

Eryngiums come in all shapes and sizes. I grow loads of them as I like a garden with attitude. Most are free seeding and hardy but I bet the new varieties are not that keen on salt. A sunny free draining border does for most of them. I have a few out at the moment but will not expect a good show for at least another month.
