I have just made an evil pudding to take into work tomorrow, heaven knows what it will be like as it's a bit experemental !! We were all having a lousey day and decided to have tea and cake in the morning - this is my contribution.
1st layer - fridge cake ish
Ginger biccies, Dark choc (both smashed to tiny bits)and some raisins then butter, whisky (just a little) and a squeeze of maple syrup warmed and stirred into the biccies and choc until cheese cake base sticky (If you know what I mean)
Press the lot into a silicon "tin"
2nd layer
Melt some more choc with some more whisky and spead over biccie base
3rd layer
Mascrapone cheese, more whisky a little bit more maple syrup and more chunked up choc, beaten together and spread over the choc layer.
4th layer
To justify posting this here !!
Home grown strawberries sliced over the top.
I have no idea what it's gonna be like but all the individual bits taste blooming good - I will report back tomorrow on the verdict.
YUM! Where do you work by the way....just in case I am passing?? :P
If you want me try it for you, I am on standby!!
Too close for comfort, I'm not telling where I work, not far from Colcherster is all I am going to say - you could both be here in about an hour !!!!

Mmmmmmm - where? Hyde Hall?
Daft question (I don't get out of the village very often) Where is Hyde Hall?
Helen
Rettendon - on the doorstep of Bicknacre and East Hanningfield. I'm game, but if it is a kids free meet, then it will either have to be a weekend or in September once the little darlings go back to school. ;D
EJ - I am still none the wiser, what is Hyde Hall - is it a garden?
Helen
It is tinkie, the Essex RHS garden. Very lovely, I went a couple of weeks ago.
I am around all summer, but work part time - but an afternoon at Hyde Hall [with tea and cakes, of course!!!!] sounds good. But anywhere up that way will be fine.
