Title: HARLOW CARR- YES OR NO? URGENT!
Post by: caroline7758 on July 18, 2007, 17:46:51
I'm starting a new thread as very few people responded to my request for a "roll call" in the other thread. So far the only people who have committed themselves are:

Me & Tadpole
Marestail murderer & family
Deb P
Lillypad (later in the day)

I'm wondering whether we should put it off to later in the year (September time?)
Can peeps let me know what they think, either way, please, and quickly!

Thanks for letting me know, David.Thought August would be a non-starter with holidays etc , that's why I suggested September, but there are some lovely colours in Autumn so October would be good too!

I'm afraid that having initially been completely committed to coming I find myself overtaken by events and have to be here at that time. Quite disappointed but hopefully I'll get to the next one.

I won't be there before 2.15ish, even if I come straight from work. To be honest, if the weather is as appalling as the forecasters are threatening, I won't be there at all. I hate rain!

I'm afraid I won't be able to make it either - life has got a bit complicated here with holidays & things.  Do hope you all have a really good time & that the weather is as good as it was for Barnsdale.  :)

OK, the words "flogging" and "dead horse" come to mind! Paul and I will be there at 10.30 come rain or shine and will meet anyone who can make it in the entrance. Marestail, I will PM you with my mobile number in case we have trouble finding each other or you decide not to bother. Deb P, are you still planning to come?

Sorry I can't make it now either. I have to confess I'd completely forgotten about it and so have made other plans!  Hope you all have a lovely day there, it looked lovely at the end of June when I last visited.

Well, it's mission aborted, I'm afraid! the three of us who were determined to get there today came to our senses this morning when it was pouring with rain again! Needless to say, it has now stopped, but Ithink it would have been pretty wet underfoot. If we ever get some summer weather, we'll try again. :(

Just been out to check- got TINY flowers but no pods, and realised that I've left it to trail down onto the floor and the slugs have been at the leaves that were touching the floor. Not sure what to do for the best as I haven't got room to stand it on the floor and support it.
