Title: What is your worst and best?
Post by: allaboutliverpool on July 17, 2007, 08:19:01
My worst is garlic, it likes hot dry weather.
My best is celeriac, it likes wet weather.

I will put all the answers on a spreadsheet.

I think the worst may be gooseberries, which were very disappointing.  But the garlics are pretty much miniature versions of what they should be.

As of now I'm going to nominate my best as onions.  We got a superb crop of both red and white onions.

But later on I might well be talking about worst = tomatoes if the blight spreads, and best = beans if early indications are correct.

almost to superstitious to answer. I'm still waiting for everything to go horribly wrong, tomatoes and squash for instance, and the French beans look to be struggling too

Parsnips are looking great (that's torn it)
