Title: Posh mock bread sauce
Post by: markfield rover on July 16, 2007, 18:33:06
Sorry if this is already known but, I have grown for the first time Turnip 'Oasis'(T&M) they  have a fine ,delicate taste
when picked the size of a ping pong ball. I boiled a handful until tender then added a little unsalted butter  a pinch of Malden
sea salt and a twist of pepper and whizzed until smoothish, and to my mind tasted as good if not better than traditional
bread sauce.

This jury is out on that one markfield.  As a bread sauce afficianado, you can't make bread sauce with anything other than bread.

I'm afraid your recipe isn't so much 'mock' as 'muck'.
