Two rows of Alderman peas - 6ft tall and still growing. They`re in full bloom, but for some reason the flowers don`t show up against the wet leaves.
Ah Kepouros, these are my most favourite of all the peas. Huge long fat pods packed with lashings of peas, and all at face height. Mine are in full bloom also and I am hoping to fill my first bucket of these tomorrow.
Alderman Peas yum yum I had my first dinner off them yesterday
I got my first pulling of these wonderful peas on the 10th July and recommend that everyone tries them.
The photo taken on 1st July shows how I have surrounded my plot with posts and wires. This is looking into the plot. The next plants are a late planting of runner beans and after that, out of sight, are more of these peas about a foot high at present. Just visible are leaves of runner beans, this side of the peas, that are already cropping.

Instead of wigwams, I have this arrangement with paths either side to make cropping easier.

I have a temporary arrangement for similar... I've grown Tall telegraph, Ne Plus Ultra, Magnum Bonum and Purple podded which have all grown really tall in the wet...
