Title: What happened to "Grow your own" (the film) ?
Post by: caroline7758 on July 15, 2007, 19:41:58
Whoever was distributing this needs shooting! It was on for a couple of weeks at a couple of cinemas in the middle of the afternoon, and now it's not even mentioned in the Guardian guide, which I guess means it's not on anywhere. Wonder if they'll bother bringing it out on DVD? >:(

I was looking forward to going to see it too.  It seems to have disappeared without a trace...

I think it's another one of those niche audience films that are on for a couple of days and then gone forever, somewhat like the recent one about Graham Obree (British Olympic/world record holder etc) which lasted a week at our cinema and then was gone.

Well we saw it - it was on at our local cinema for a week. We thought it was quite good really, it's more about relationships than allotments. Spotting the out of season flowers and veg will keep you amused. On the site (looked like a film set to us - even the dumping areas were just too perfect) everyones shed had to be painted the same colour - anyone elses site like that?

The site I am on the waiting list for has an identical shed on each plot - no other buildings allowed - & a tap attached to each shed.  Posh round here!  :)
