Alloted Time: 2 blokes, one shed, no idea.
It's quite a good read, for when it's too wet to actually be on the plot.
Yep, quite a few of us have read this one- I really enjoyed it!
Another very good book is The Allotment Book by Andi Cleverly.

I read it recently - I was just so excited to find a book about growing veg though it was more about other stuff I quite enjoyed it.
I read it before getting my plot - I reasoned that he he, starting from no knowledge at all, could do it then so could I (starting from a similar position).
Was in my Christmas Stocking... now I need to get to the arts cinema at the Uni this week to see the " Grow your own " Movie...
;D
Another book that's good is "my life on a hillside allotment" by Terry Walton the guy that does the allotment feature on the Jeremy Vine show Radio 2. I hadn't heard about him before I saw this book, I took the book to Greece on holiday and was sat on a beach in temps. reaching 44c and there I was reading about how to grow veg!!! 8)

I recommend this one too. I am reading it at the moment and it's definately a good read. Pretty cheap on amazon.
I think Terry Walton was on the "Big Dig" series, wasn't he?
I never saw the big dig series but I have a feeling you're right. His book is entertaining in that it is more an auto biography which revolves around his allotment with hints and tips included as part of 'the story'.
