Last night we sat with patio doors open and the smell of the jasmine wafting in. Sublime.
I love the scent of jasmin, honeysuckle, phlox and sweetpeas.
I used to walk to work past a bed of pinks that ran for at least 15' along the top of a wall at about chest height, the smell of those in full flower was just divine.
top marks to whoever designed it, too!
we also had an inherited philadelphus/mock orange growing beside our front door at our previous house and that smelled heavenly. I know it's a bit strong and sweet for some people but I loved it.
Just love the smell of my sweet peas as I walk up the garden (first time of growing)
Sweet Peas, Roses, Jasmine, Pinks (of course! ;D) Lillies, and who can forget Chocolate Cosmos just for smell, shame you can't eat em!
peace rose takes me back to mum's garden but I just love all flower scents, apart from lilies, bit strong ;D
Sweet peas are delish aren't they? Mine are lovely too, they are competing with the jasmine! I also have a lemon verbena (melissa) which just bowls you over with full on lemon. The roses are also going for it. I just wish we'd had a bit more sun to encourage them on a bit.
I love the smell of lily of the valley, daffodils (very delicate) and those purple coloured petunias in pots and hanging baskets....gorgeous (as well as most of the ones mentioned above....oh and of course, lavender, an absolute favourite :)
Freesias, from the most romantic bouqet I once got and Violets as they were my Mum's perfume. XX Jeannine
Sweetpeas, lilac (reminds me of my childhood), and next door's Cornus, which smells of bubble gum. Oh, and winter box.
mmmmsweetpeas, make me go aaahh. roses too. honeysuckle.

Yes, freesias!
I just couldn't for the life of me remember what they were called in order to respond to the post!! I have inherited my work colleagues baby-head. I'm not pregnant, she is, but I seem to be having all of the symptoms that she should be getting, including being incredibly forgetful at the moment! ::)
once you reach forty that becomes a permanent feature snoozi. i forget the names of even the most mundane things these days. i can never remember what a trowel is called. ho hum
I love the scent of all those flowers mentioned with pinks just slightly in the lead on my list. Other perfumes that I love are the Azalea 'Rhododendron luteum', mahonia, Nicotiana (tobacco plant), irises and wallflowers.
Well I like all of the above plus the bowl of Hycanths every winter.
But, one of my favourite smells is freshly cut grass, now I would like to bottle that one.
;) ;)
Sweet peas, honeysuckle, lavender and, not strictly a flower, but the scent of a camomile lawn. Lovely. :)
Agree with Carol about freshly cut grass too ... gorgeous, evocative smell.
all of the above plus the scent of broad bean flowers
;D @ Flossie! That's what I thought reading through!
Stocks, stocks and more stocks.
Freesias (my all time favourite flower), Sweet Peas, Citrus blossom, Brugmansia at night, and the scent that tells me summer's on it's way - the first flower of Philadelphus 'Belle Etoile'. :-* Wonderful!
Chamomile and night scented stocks, plus the 'wild' mock orange I grew from seed........ :) :)
It has got to be my honeysuckle which totally dominates the garden on a warm summers evening.
Night Scented Phlox... which has a really complicated name ...
8)
Mine has to be Lavender.
Of course.
In no particular order...
Honeysuckle, Evening scented stock, dianthus, sweet pea, roses, lavender,
and many more!!
Debs
I love all the mentioned flower scents but also find myself stopping under lime trees currently in flower, when walking the dog.
Lavender, orange blossom and stephanotis MMMmmmmmmmmmmm

Stephanotis looks llike jasmine Biscombe - are they related? I must have some - it is sooo pretty. ;D
Much bigger flowers, the smell is a cross between Jasmin and orange blossom, Its a creeper and the leaves are quite succulent, its highly reccomended!!
