Title: Colourful supper
Post by: Mrs Ava on July 12, 2007, 23:00:06
What a visual extravaganza.  Home grown carrot, courgette, onion, borage flowers, spuds and nasturtium flowers.  The only thing that I came from elsewhere was the egg to bind it all together.  Grated the courgette and onion, fried it along with already cooked spud and lightly cooked carrot, well seasoned, then turned into an omelet with a beaten egg.  This was served scattered with borage flowers and nasturtium flowers.  I also stuffed 3 courgette flowers with a little of the courgette mix before I added the egg, dunked them in a light batter and deep fried them until crispy.  They were delicious, as was the entire meal!  ;D
