I noticed about 6 inches of my row of carrots were wilted, on examination the tiny carrots had been chewed clean off - could it be a mole cricket or is another culprit responsible ?

Hi beer belly,i think you have got carrot fly,they are a pest in my allotment.Berlade will hwelp against them.
