Thunder, lightening, cats and dogs and hailstones as I type. :'(
The thunderstorm hit us in Essex 20 mins before you then, cornykev.
I sent it special delivery from Central London at 5.30pm! Glad it arrived okay!

we sent it down last night, we had it all yesterday and were sick of it ;D
, today's a bit quieter, got some bits done in the garden, then the rain came back, off and on, all day .
supposed to be nicer tomorrow, I hope so, we're going to the plot to weed ;D
3.10pm just as I was starting school run terrific thunder, Joshua managed to get to car before rain. As we arrived home at 3.35pm thunder, lightning, stair rods. Luckily had brolly in car so dashed in to house both trying to get under small brolly. Have had lots of thunder/lightning/rain but last hour beautiful sunshine again. No wonder we have lots of conversations about our weather :)

It closed Heathrow to take-offs and landings and I was sitting in Newcastle waiting for the 1735 to arrive, turnaround so that I could get home. Plane finally arrived about 1900, we all got on and told no take off slot til 2035 - crew were great, broke out the sarnies and coffee.
Then (and this is where you couldn't make it up) another delay as one of the runway lights wasn't working, then told there is a small hole in the runway, so all planes grounded. Finally took off at 2200, got the Heathrow about an hour later, but no stand to park so waited an HOUR for the Edinburgh flight to leave. Tube closed for the night so humongus queue for a taxi, OH came to collect me, collapsed into bed about 1am.
Could have driven to Newcastle and back in that time...............
Sun 8) and showers today. ;D ;D ;D
We had the mini tornado in wales on Sunday. The most varied weather I have ever seen in one day. Thunder, lightning, hail, torrential rain, and blazing hot sunshine all in one day.

Yesterday evening the old man arrived home from London soaked to the skin. He had to peel his motorbike leathers off and the red from his gloves had completely stained his hands. His jacket kept his body warm and dry, his lid kept his nogging cosy, but from the waist down he was wet and cold!
Today has been lovely, although cloudy at lunch time when I sat down in the tea gardens at Hyde Hall with my froffycoffecheeno. ;D
Dull and cloudy with a bit of drizzle. :( ;D ;D ;D
Aftermath of Monday's storms.
Hail damage to squash and aubergines pictured below. Others damaged too but these are the worst.
A real dull week, cloudy,windy and a few rain showers with little sun. ??? ??? :-\ :( ;D ;D ;D
