Only about 10 had the Rot.
What a fantastic display. I am hoping to get mine out on Sunday if the ground is ok to stand on...
yum they look good :D
Impressive tim! I reckon we've got about half that much in total!
What a handsome crop, I'm tempted to try this next season
Bah and humbug. The rot got the lot of mine this year so what was useable has been squished and frozen. I shall grow it again next year but I am only growing purple as that seems to be better for me.
But I'm going to run out of fresh raised beds rather quickly.
Crikey that's a lot of garlic. :o This is my whole crop. ;D G x

Thanks G - I love the purple blush
Olive - raised bed only because all new soil against the rot.
Great garlic Tim :)
How deep did you plant the cloves? I planted at three different depths but no dramatic difference between the results that I could see.
Ours are a fair bit smaller than yours but ok on white/blush aspect; the biggest difference is that the leaves are seriously rusty - like our winter onions. I definitely don't want to plait them, anyone got a source for string bags? ;D
The only difference the depth of planting seems to make is that if they're too deep, the're more palaver to lift. My Solent Wights are bright orange with rust.
Most of mine are up now - my house smells all garlicy and earthy...
Just received my plaiting instructions from the Garlic Farm. Now for the difficult bit!
If anyone wants a copy, I would try to e-mail one.
