Hi, I too can help with the reburbishing of folk's seeds due to the weather. I have far too many varieties in my rather large collections to list but if anyone has lost their tomatoes, squash, pumpkins or courgettes the chances are I have that variety and I would be happy to send some to you, my bean collection is smaller but pretty varied and you are very welcome to have what I have. Pm me the varieties you need .
XX Jeannine
Jeannine,
You've had a hard time already girl, so listen verrry carefully, I shall say zis only once:
What can WE give YOU?!!!
;) ;D
Allo Allo, you have made me laugh so loud, the thing is truly I have so many seeds , I truly am bursting at the seams. In fact I feel embarrassed now cos I feel I should accept something I need and for the life of me the only thing I am short of are Lingua Di Fuoco beans and Safari Kenyan beans which I always grow as I have none left, Tyee spinach which I don't think you can get here, but I have other kinds and I gave away my spare packet of Lilywhite sea kale. Honestly I cannot think of another thing, and I am going to try to find some seed potatoes and try some in bags, if not I shall re plant some of what we have already saved.
You are truly Amazin' you know, but I would be lying if I took what I don't need and I do have tons os squash seeds I can share.
Please don't be cross!!
XX Jeannine
haven't got any seeds, I've donated them to somewhere else but, I've got various herb cuttings, now growing happily, I have rosemary, 2..thyme, 4..sage, about 3, I think, lavender, 3..I can take lemon balm, oregano and mint ones, they won't be rooted but they should be ok this time of year..if anyone wants one, I can stick it in a jiffy bag, let me know addresses :)
No probs, Jeannine - just wanted to make sure you were okay. I'm only sorry I don't have any of the things you listed there, but they're a bit specialised for me - I'm afraid the species of things I have are more the 'Commonus Gardenus' type from the Veggies for Idiots range!
... and even then there's no guarantee I'll succeed!
;D
Ah, you are a love, your Mum did a good job she brung you up right XX Jeannine
Jeannine, I have Lingua di Fuoco Climbing only prob' 2004 on pkt, but if you think it is worth a try will post ,post haste.
Oh yes please, I will give it a go I think they will be fine, thank you so much, I think you have my addy. XX Jeannine
Jeannine, consider it done. I have your address.
You know Jeannine you amaze me. You just come out of a flood and you are already wanting to help others. What a lovely person you are ;D ;D Afraid I cannot help with what you are looking for though also only have the common old garden varieties. First time this year growing PSB and Black Russian kale.
I do however still have mental pictures of you wading up to your knickers with your tomato plants under your arms. ;D ;D
Jitterbug
Thanks Jitters, I am one of those dopey folks who needs a crisis to forget my own worries, in this case the toms were in crisis.
I have always felt sad cos I was born when I was,I would have liked to have been a pioneer in a covered wagon, not fighting thr Indians by the way, I would have swapped recipes with them, but to race for land in the Oklahoma settling must have been fantastic.
Steering the rig, no time to stop, so birthing the pig in the back while churning butter with my left foot.
Oh Dream on Jeannine XX

For those who have flooded out, I will go to Delfland nurseries next week, all their vegetable plug plants are 5pence each - so if anyone needs any, let me know, I'll even have a word with them and sees if they are willing to pay postage etc. to help thoses who loat everything in the floods
Let me know what you think - I can't tell youwhat they will have in stock - but would guess, lettuces, brassicas, leeks, herbs, beetroot?, I'll try to pop down tomorrow and see hwta they have at the moment
