Title: Radish Ostergruss Rossa
Post by: Tora on July 04, 2007, 09:18:34
I'm growing some of this variety for the first time.
The question is when do I harvest them? I don't know how big they grow... Mine are about an inch in diameter now.

Why not try one and see? I think an inch diameter is probably about right and about 2 inches long for cylindrical ones? But it'll probably taste better smaller anyway.

I tried this year they're great!
They look just like pink carrots, less picking (not that its tooa rduous harvesting radishes!) and much less fiddly too slice up in salads. I've picked mine at about 1 inch diameter. But that mught be because I'm inpatient.

Thanks for your replies. :)

I pulled one of them and tasted it. It was about 2 inches long.
I liked it very much, it was slightly spicy but very juicy. :P  I'm going to try to save some seeds this year.
