Title: A weeks respite for Tony and me.
Post by: shirlton on June 30, 2007, 17:59:04
At last my mom has agreed to go into respite for a week. I just wish the rain would stop so that I could get to the plot and stay there until I wanted to come home instead of having to get home to look after her. Perhaps it will ease up before the week is over. I hope so , not just for us but for everyone who has suffered cos of this bloody rain.

Hi Shirl. Untill it stops raining just spend some quality time with Tony, so glad Mum agreed to go for a week. Will do you both good to have a rest, then when the rain stops you can stay at the allotment for as long as you like, get Tony to fix up a floodlight!!!! ;D

Maybe she;ll enjoy herself so much that she'll want to go again before too long. That sounds awful but it is meant in the nicest possible way Shirl.
Hope you enjoy your week whatever the weather. ;)

No it's not awful Maggie. The whole purpose of getting her to go in for a week is so that if anything happens to Tone or myself and we cannot continue to look after her then she will be used to the place. It's a lovely EPH and I used to work with several of the carers when I worked at the home so I know she will be well looked after. I will be able to relax knowing that she is having the best of care.

I'm so pleased she went OK Shirl and that you hadn't sewn all those b. name-tapes in for nothing :o

Have a great week whatever you do....even if it's raining on your lottie at least Wilko's got a roof, hasn't it? ;D

Hey Lorna, hope Shirl and Tone won't really need 'floodlights' ::) .....how are the two sites holding up Shirl?

Hi Lish. I'm so grateful that the plots in Erdy are on sandy soil. I will probably be swearing about them next year when we have dry time. they are doing great luv.Windy stuff though all this bloomin veg.
