I have just sowed some chinese broccoli, was wondering if any of you out there have ever tried it? The sowing instructions were 25 seeds per sq yd does that mean they needed to be sown in blocks or could I get away with rows? Also earlier in the year I sowed round cukes but at the moment only seems to be producing male flowers (and masses of them) should the male flowers be removed? your advice sought peeps!
Thanks Gruesome
Dunno about the broccoli, though I'd be extremely surprised if there's anything you can't grow in rows. Leave the cucs; they often start out with all-male flowers. The female ones will come along when the plants are a bit bigger.
Thanks Robert these seeds keep being sent by my sis-in -law from New Zealand and it's a B****r of a job working out the seasonal differences!!!
