Can anyone direct me to a good online picture of parsnip seedlings - I've a feeling I may have had a bit of an over enthusiastic weeding calamity :-[
I know now to plant raddishes with them so that I can see where they will come up.

parsnips are easy seeds to spot, because they're such a nice bright green colour
Two things to say:
1. many thanks to the two of you for the help,
2. D'OH! :(
Parsnips in the ground are a night mare
but this year I planted the seed in loo rolls two seeds in each just perfect. put loo rolls in a tray and watered from the bottom up they came and planted the loo rolls in the ground spaced out.
Will have loads of them this year. hee hee
got 5 last year planting in the ground.
err I planted some lettuce seedlings with the parsnips, the lettuce never showed :D
My parsnips that I sowed in April have now magnificent green heads about a foot high! The seedlings look like a little umbrella, or actually the same shape as a lilypad. Don't worry, I accidentally dug up a few baby onions the other day. Ooops. Well in fact I shoved them back in the soil, maybe something will eventually happen ha ha. Our veg would probably do better if we didn't look after it... ::)

Don't worry, I did that the first year, even tho I'd planted radishes one side and spring onions the other and labelled the rows. I just didn't give them enough time to come up.
The second year the chap on the next allotment identified them for me as they came up. Now I know what I'm doing. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
