Post by: Rohaise on June 24, 2007, 22:32:50
I spent a good ten minutes dancing a tarantella ,apron flapping ,all but removing my skirt trying to find a bee which had flown up  and stung me twice...yes twice ! (I thought they could only sting once!) I actualy had a job removing it from my thigh  ,,,he was fine by the way ,I thought they sadly died after stinging ?    Any way ...pain ....itching and burning...PAIN !
HELP  a cheap home remedy please !   Rohaise      :'(

Give it a try - I've got a high pain threshold, so just leave bee stings (not wasp ones, tho) but I've heard it works.

............or apply a paste of bicarb and water, or parsley juice (from crushed leaves) and honey.I also read somewhere that a cold, wet tea bag helps reduce swelling.

Goodmorning and thankyou again dear friends !   TOOTHPASTE is brilliant and definately took the heat out of my stings ,which are now looking like bruises .   I think that if you dont have one of those expensive bee sting sprays in your first aid box ,then this is a great home remedy..especialy for children....smells nice too !  Rohaise

Yes alkaline for bees and acidic for wasps.
