Title: Tadpoles and their legs
Post by: Tin Shed on June 24, 2007, 15:08:24
Most of my tadpoles hatched around the end of March, but they seem very slow at developing - only a few have legs. One website stated that the legs appear after about 6 - 9 weeks. Anyone else with slow developing tadpoles? Do you think it is just the strange weather we have been having or do they need some extra food?

I thought mine were taking a really long time to change too, only a couple had developed legs, but just this week I found some very baby frogs emerging from the pond - some with tails, some without.  But I still have loads of taddies that don't even look as if they are developing legs yet.

mine hatched quite early they are big but don,t have legs yet. they never do it as quickly as the textbook says i think thats because they cannot read ;D
they will be fit to hop about in their own time as they always do 8)
