Title: Which Hoe????
Post by: powerspade on June 22, 2007, 12:52:05
I have been thinking of getting a replacement for my old dutch hoe which has given me nearly 20 yrs service. Looking around I see there are lots of different types ie:- pushpull hoe, the traditional push hoe, the swoe, stainless steel , carbon steel ?, etc.,What type of hoe would you recomend?

I like a swoe, it's light, works on the push and the pull, small enough to get in all those finicky places, you can cut an edge with it and take out a drill. For wide open spaces it's too small though

More a mini-cultivator? Just what I need for the raised beds when I put lumpy compost on them.

But too slow for a big area.
