what can I put in after I have finished my pots?
Could be either veg or cut flowers but thought I'd start planning now.
Thanks in advance :-*
At my lotti the old hands plant out their leeks, but there must be other options.
Late carrots? Beetroot? Lettuce?
Still time to get french beans in too I think
certainly i'll try to fill the potato space with all the roots - carrot beetroot turnip fennel salads and of course leeks
Winter greens my lot have just nicely germinated. Will prick them out within the next few days ready for planting out when I have lifted my earlies.
By the way in case you think this is a bit late ! let me tell you I haven't even started lifting yet and won't be for at least another couple of weeks.
So really I am about on time!!
we've got 2 lots of peas in gutters and 12 dwarf french beans ready to go in the early potato bed :)
also, we've already got 6 rows of leeks in it :)
Thanks all - I have some leeks and they will be ready to put out as soon as my 1st earlies have gone - my buy a few winter leaves too.
Endive and Chicory are great...
You can even convince Swede to germinate now...
::)
If you can protect it form slugs, Pak Choi and other chinese cabbages. Mizuna too.
We face this dilemma every year - what to follow the earlies with that won't drive a coach and horses through out rotation plan. So this year we will mainly be planting chard
