Title: Carrots when will they be ready
Post by: Rosyred on June 19, 2007, 20:13:51
Without pulling or disturbing the carrots is there a way to tell when they are ready? Looking for a small to medium carrot worth using. Early Nantes planted 10/4

Just pull one and see.

I have to plant mine again, as the blasted pidgeons have eaten them all!  Mine will be ready by Christmas as well if I am lucky. >:(

Carefully brush the soil from around the top,you can tell how big they are by the circle of orange that you can see...the top of the carrot.
